Silkquat-39

DESCRIPTION: Silkquat-39 is a water-soluble cationic polymer with skin-smoothening and hair conditioning abilities. In hair care, it provides antistatic properties and flexible film forming. It repairs damaged protein matrix and helps prevent and protect split-ends. It also has a good moisturizing effect on the hair, with excellent wet and dry combing. In skin care, it provides smoothening, moisturizing, and softening abilities and improves the skin’s ability to resist UV rays.

Silkquat-39 is particularly suited for rinse-off applications, where it offers reduced irritation, smoothening and lubricating effect. It provides luster and a soft, silky feeling to the hair

TECHNICAL GUIDE

CLEANSING PRODUCT – IMPROVED CLARITY

For best clarity, the Protection of polymers with betaines or amphoteric surfactants is advised in surfactant formulas. Add Silkquat 39 to the water phase, followed by a betaine or an amphoteric surfactant. Then add the anionic surfactant or surfactant blend afterward.

When formulating with Carbopol® polymers, hydrate and neutralize the Carbopol polymers before adding Silkquat 39 to prevent precipitation.
