DESCRIPTION: Lipid shine is a polar diester with emollient and shine properties. It is a combination of propylene glycol and benzoic acid. It is a lightweight emollient that softens the skin and hair and prevents moisture loss. It can be used as a silicon replacement (for phenyl trimethicone in hair care) due to its high refractive index (RI) – A shining agent. In other words, it reflects light. In skincare, it gives the look of a healthy glow. It is especially beneficial in hair care, giving the hair an excellent shine and glossy look.
