Kojic Dipalmitate

DESCRIPTION: Kojic Dipalmitate is an ester of Kojic acid. Kojic Acid itself can be prone to instability with color-changes occurring over time, whereas Kojic Dipalmitate retains its stability for longer. It is used as a skin whitening ingredient and to reduce the appearance of age-spots and hiperpigmentation.

Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is modified kojic acid derivative – an ester of Kojic Acid offering superior stability, which not only overcomes the instability to light, heat and metallic ion, but also keeps activity of the inhibitory tyrosine and prevents the formation of melanin, age-spots and hyperpigmentation. It is more said to be more effective that kojic acid although some research has not proved that. Nevertheless, after kojic acid has ceased to be effective, kojic dipalmitate will still be working without discoloring your formulations.. Kojic Acid Dipalmitate can produce excellent effects in even toning the skin, fighting age spots, pregnancy marks, freckles as well as general skin pigmentation disorders of face and body.

PH: Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is stable within a wide pH range of 4-9, which provides flexibility to formulators.
SOLUBILITY: Soluble in alcohol, oil, creams and esters.
