True Beauty

Alabaster Jar: Ointment spilled forth

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty evaporates, but a woman who has the fear of the LORD should be praised” – Proverbs 31:30 (GW)

Beauty IS desirable, most of us agree. Some of us come physically well endowed than others. However, the beauty that stems from within must be cultivated. There is beauty that is skin deep and there is beauty that flows like a river; the former is fickle while the latter is ethereal, therefore, true beauty must be the one that outlasts the other!

True beauty is an inner cultivation of grace and a gentle and quiet spirit. While many may lust after that which blooms like a Japanese Cherry tree (A tree that blooms only during autumn and lasts for a week), a woman who possesses good graces and poise carries an ethereal aura that can only be honoured, favoured and that can never be forgotten! Here are some timeless nuggets that unveil the beauty within:

“Say Cheese!” A good smile reaches the eyes when it is graciously given. “A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, but with a heartache comes depression.” Proverbs 15:13

“Put on Good Graces” Being a lady can never go out of style! Don’t forget to season your speech with “Yes, please”, “No, Thank you”, “Excuse me please”, “You’re welcome”, “Good morning!” etc.  “Everything you say should be kind and well thought out so that you know how to answer everyone.” Colossians 4:6

“Now, don’t forget to be humble” Humility is the route to exaltation. Jehovah is He who exalts and to whosoever will hear He says “By humility and the fear the LORD are riches, and honour an life” – Proverbs 22:4 NHEB
